THE PLOT

Once upon a time, as the story goes to the young children of Asuca, there was a region that lived in surprisingly peaceful harmony ; guarded by it's gym leaders and the Elite Four alongside the Champion. Ramshackle teams without the true ambition were dissolved in the wake of the region's power and the region's peace was famous for it's tenacity even in the wake of change and no soul knew just how greatly this would become a fairy tale in ages to come.

It struck as precariously as a force of nature, and one day a man came in through the region with such a confident stride and gate that no one questioned the fellow or his purposes much, and with quite the amount of men and women behind him, he trekked straight past the volcanic field to the land that the Elite Four stood. Watching this stranger with judgmental skepticism, four trainers whom were reputed the strongest in the region, Pokemon of grass, fire, water and electricity in their possession, were without a doubt taken back by the arrival of their guest who began with a humble dip of his head. It was without a moment's hesitation that he introduced himself as The King, and their team as Team Garnet, and explained his reasoning for coming miles upon miles to Asuca.

It was simple, really. He thought the region was a prime example of a kingdom he'd want to rule, and blatantly told the Elite Four to step down and instead of fighting against him fight for him as highly respected generals. As one could imagine, the suggestion was ferociously denied and the war itself began.

Over the span of two long years, towns were taken over by the war like team, gym leaders were either made a public example of with murder or consenting to being part of Team Garnet in order to save their respective town or city the agony of those that were more rebellious. Each side took hits, Asuca learning to fear Team Garnet as they used Pokemon like tools and their own soldiers just the same, but when they dominated all the towns there was to be had, it seemed that the Elite Four was the only one to stand in their way. With champion among them, the kindly but terrified folks of Asuca gazed upon the scenario with hope that they would be able to take down the dreadful force that was Team Garnet.

A hope that proved to be like sand through their finger tips.

As the five prepared to duel, wordlessly did the master of electricity go to Team Garnet, stating his reasoning as he was promised a higher position in power than their meager force had to offer. With one of their own teammates on their enemies' side, using tricks or trademark moves against them was futile and needless to say, once they were beaten, Team Garnet ruled the land with an iron fist.

This was made obvious as Team Garnet splayed the Champion in front of the region for most to see and ended his life, an action that made most resign to their new monarchy and for those that still fought, Team Garnet took them captive and eventually jailed or enslaved them. Even the master of grass Pokemon was reduced to slavery upon their rebel rousing, and the master of water Pokemon met his end upon attempting to free the slaved civilians. It was only the master of the fire Pokemon that managed to escape slavery and is rumored to be within the rebels' ranks.

As soon as most citizen's hopes were crushed, Team Garnet renamed themselves The Monarchy. Yet still, it seems that a rebellion has risen, and their desire to take back their once peaceful region burns brights in the none too distant future..
